The American Cancer Society and the Seton Family of Hospitals are one in working to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. We do this by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering through the education and services provided to patients of Seton.
The Society is available to cancer patients of Seton and helps with prostate and skin cancer screenings to provide assistance for the underserved populations. Volunteers of the American Cancer Society are onsite to provide support for cancer patients going through treatment. They are also equipped to supply cancer patients with information and work to identify any needs that the Society can help to fulfill. Personal Health Managers, who help answer questions after diagnosis, are provided to new cancer patients.
Additionally, the Society offers the Look Good...Feel Better® program at the Shivers Cancer Center at University Medical Center at Brackenridge. This program connects patients with professional beauty consultants to help overcome the appearance-related side effects of treatment.
Through our shared dedication to helping cancer patients, The American Cancer Society and the Seton Family of Hospitals are one in providing these valuable services and information during a difficult diagnosis.
